Back at work this morning. Only in until 2.30pm, which was a blessing, not a good day to be at work, people a bit stressed.
Got the Grand National this Saturday, so under pressure from Bosses to make as much money as possible. Even tho we had a great Cheltenham Festival, still not good enough for them.
Doesn't help much when our computer system is terrible. It had crashed each of the last SIX Saturday's, and people have went about half an hour without being able to place a bet. In my opinion, this is a complete joke. Yet the 'high heid yins' don't seem to be interested. Total farce.
Also the shop hasn't been as busy as usual lately, we don't know if people are just skint, or if the smoking ban up here in Scotland is having a bad effect on our business. Will have to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks.
Tuesday night is pool night, playing in Strathaven last night, which means a couple of dudes not drinking and having to drive, which is never fun for them. But we made up for it by winning 10-4, a great result for us. Anyone can track our progress on our web site, which is:

We are 'The Murray'. This is only our third season in the League, we finished 9th last year, so hoping to finish a lot higher this season. We have also just qualified for the quarter-finals of the league cup, seeded 4th in that, so here's hoping we can get to the Semi-finals.
